The weather warmed up a bit for the week of Halloween, and though we had a bit of rain and
the winds were strong enough to send Dumbo the Elephant for a tumble, the kids enjoyed a nice evening for trick-or-treating.
This year is certainly flying by. Our little one will be six the first week of November,
and after that it is Thanksgiving and right on into Christmas.
So much going on in my writing world right now. I have several great books to promote in November with Pump Up Your Book Promotion and am getting ready to start putting together tours for another eight clients touring in December. With
all that inspiration from the Muse Online Writers Conference, I am ready to start National Novel Writing Month. I'm working
on a middle grade novel titled Amelia's Mission, which is about a young orphan girl who goes to live with her
single aunt in a fictional New England town. The aunt is always miserable, and Amelia decides she must figure out what
made her aunt so unhappy and fix it, all the while trying to convince her young friend Ralph to let her teach him to read.
I'm very excited about this one.
Registration is now open for the 2010 Muse Online Writers Conference. Don't let this

The Fall issue of Pages & Pens ~ your tools to imagination made it onto
the Musing Our Children's website. This issue is dedicated to back-to-school, the fall holidays, Eric Carle and other fun stuff.
Just a reminder that The Little
Shepherd Boy has been picked up by Guardian Angel Publishing. It's due to be released sometime late next year.

Well, in case you're wondering where I ran off to,
I participated in the Muse Online Writers Conference last week. As always, Lea and friends did an excellent job, and this
year attendees with completed manuscripts got the chance to vie for spots to pitch to publishers. Awesome new addition to
the conference offerings!
Registration is now open for the 2010 Muse Online Writers Conference that will take place
from October 11 through October 17, 2010. You can register at http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/2010MuseConferenceRegistration/ and be sure to put yourself on Individual Email so that
you don't miss anything. Lea sends out numerous important message throughout the year and it is a bummer if you miss anything
important.
Hope to see you there!
